Recap of the Celebration of Bonnie Lichter’s Musical Legacy

We’d like to share a few memories from the tribute held on March 30, 2025, at the NewYork Flute Fair, where we gathered to honor the extraordinary life and legacy of Bonnie Lichter, a beloved flutist and longtime Juilliard Pre-College educator who mentored generations of musicians from 1973 to 2002.

With Bonnie Lichter and her husband Paul Reese in attendance, it was an afternoon filled with heartfelt performances, moving reflections, and the kind of inspiration only a remarkable teacher can offer. The program featured music and memories shared by her former students and colleagues.

As pianist Linda Mark noted, Bonnie created her own tradition of excellence, empowering her students to discover their voices through music.
