New York Flutists was founded in 2018 with a shared vision of bringing the enchanting sounds of the flute family to a wide variety of audiences. Our mission is dedicated to reaching new patrons through engaging and innovative programming.
The musicians of New York Flutists have studied at prestigious conservatories across the United States and abroad. Many serve as faculty members at various institutions of higher education in New York while maintaining active solo, chamber, and orchestral careers that span from New York to California and East Asia.
In August 2019, New York Flutists was showcased at the 47th National Flute Association convention in Salt Lake City. The ensemble will return to the 52nd National Flute Association convention this August in San Antonio, performing a world premiere piece by composer James Ra. New York Flutists performs extensively around New York City and has collaborated with world-renowned musicians, including Mindy Kaufman and Keith Underwood.
